Creator-first Accelerator Programme
At Showwcase, we’ve always been excited about creators and how they bring people together and accelerate our careers. Creators have kept us motivated, brought the community closer together from far reaching ends of the world, and lead the way on our journey to becoming a better developer.
Whether through blogs, podcasts, tweets, threads, products, courses, videos, and so much more you are embracing the future of work as part of the creator economy.
Content creators are making a living doing what they love. But, becoming a content creator full-time is incredibly difficult. With that being said, if you manage to build an engaged audience it can become a very lucrative career.
So many of you are incredible creators with deep knowledge and expertise on topics like: Web Development, Web3, GraphQL, Cross-platform Mobile, Android, Data Structures & Algorithms, Devops, Building an Online Presence, Building In Public, Blogging and the list goes on and on.
But it’s been incredibly hard for you to build a sustainable creator economy business out of this knowledge - Social media algorithms prioritise virality over real knowledge, Saas platforms have high take rates, surviving on tips and sponsorships don’t work, #ad is intermittent income that never works, and creator economics is a pain for the middle class.
We understand and we are here to help.
Creator-First Accelerator Programme
Today we are incredibly excited to announce our Creator-First Accelerator Program. This is our first initiative for creators in the world of code. The goal is to help support and equip emerging and current creators with the resources they need to bring their ideas and creativity to life, building a business with their content on their way to financial independence.
This includes:
Helping you make your Shows amazing, with
The right tooling and equipment. If you need a new Microphone, Webcam, or other equipment we’ll send them to you.
Concept, editing, and creative development with the Showwcase team
Matching you to the right audience for your Shows, Series, and Events
Helping you promote your Shows, with
Design services for creative assets
Promotion internal and external to Showwcase
Support in building your audience, brand, and community
Ensuring you are financially supported, with
Making sure you get paid for your knowledge
Providing financial stipends and support where needed
Matching you with the right brands so you can turn your idea into a profitable creative endeavour
We want you to focus on creating content, and let us help you with everything else.

You can Apply for the Creator-first Program starting today and everyone is welcome. The deadline to apply is July 20th, 2022.
The program will take place from August-September 2022.
The batch will be remote with optional in-person components depending on the pandemic.
If you want to apply, please submit your application online as soon as possible. While the deadline for on-time applications will be July 20th, we continue to accept applications until the batch starts in August. We will review all late applications, but if you apply late we may not get back to you with a decision until the batch starts.
We will be inviting creators that apply to talk to us on a rolling basis. July 30th is the latest day you'll know by if you applied by the deadline.
Interviews will be held during July.
During the 2 month cycle we invite speakers every 2 weeks to talk about their creator journey, how they made it, and what they learned.
Every week or two, you'll have group office hours, where you'll talk with other creators for an hour. These group office hours are a chance to get to know other creators in your batch that are going through similar things and to help each other.
The Creator program doesn't really end after 2 months; only the sessions, talks, and office hours. We continue to help you as you continue to create content on your way to financial independence and monetising your knowledge!
